We meet many businesses with a good looking website that brings in nothing. The design is not the problem. The site never answers the four questions every visitor is silently asking.
The four questions your homepage must answer
- What exactly do you do?
- Who is it for?
- Why should I believe you can do it?
- What do I do next?
Write for the customer, not for your industry
Phrases like innovative solutions and world class delivery say nothing. Replace them with specifics: what you deliver, how long it takes, what it costs, who you have done it for. Specifics build confidence, adjectives do not.
